The Clinton House Museum is launching a new program called Engaging Locally. Supporting Community. This program is designed specifically to connect museum visitors with products and services at local businesses.

Development Manager Chandler Cuellar says that “our guests are largely from outside Arkansas and visiting for a short period. They want to find the services and products that will give them a true ‘Fayetteville’ experience.” The museum is anxious to help Fayetteville businesses increase traffic and visibility by promoting local businesses to its 6,000 visitors a year. Business owners customize a sponsorship package that best suits their budget and their needs. Some of the options available include product sampling, coupon or flyer distribution, website advertising, email blasts, social media boosts, and much more.

“What makes this type of sponsorship different from the typical nonprofit sponsorship is that it’s a transaction,” says museum Director, Angie Albright. “We want business owners to tell us what they want, rather than us telling them how much a sponsorship will cost and offering them benefits they may not really need.” Albright and Cuellar are contacting local businesses now to gauge interest and to start offering the museum as a marketing channel for them beginning in October.

Albright says, “We are offering a partnership per month, based on a business’s preference, but annual partnerships are available also. We want our community to see our visitors as an asset to our local economy while introducing tourists to the best of what Fayetteville has to offer.”
