This June 2018 issue of Arkansas Life is themed “The High Road” and is all about road-tripping through Arkansas’ highlands on the state’s scenic byways.

One of the highlights for the Clinton House Museum is their inclusion of our First Ladies Garden in their Six Secret Gardens Around the State. June is the best time of year to see the garden, but there is often something blooming nearly year-round.

The First Ladies Garden has a plant or flower representing the favorites of every First Lady from Martha Washington to Melania Trump. It features a winding brick pathway encircling the house with a sweet arbor and several benches for taking in the greenery. This spring the garden was even the host to a wedding!

Arkansas Life also includes Curran Hall, which serves as the Little Rock Visitors Center; the Peel Mansion and Heritage Gardens in Bentonville; Historic Arkansas Museum in Little Rock; Mammoth Spring State Park in Mammoth Spring; and the Witt Stephens Jr. Central Arkansas Nature Center in downtown Little Rock.
